AC Mechanic (Ramp Equipment) - National Aviation Services (NAS)

•Reviews aircraft tech log and reporting to Duty Engineers of any logged defect.
•Assist in carrying out pre-departure checks
•Carry out pre-arrival inspection including and ensure the aircraft parking area is clear of any obstruction
•Informs Aircraft engineer, Quality Assurance & Safety Division of any occurrences or discrepancies found in the company's established procedures.
•Carry out GND Cockpit communication via headset or signals as per specific stipulated procedure on both departure & arrival.
•Receives aircraft on arrival and appropriately chocking the wheels and making sure fire fighting equipment is serviceable and available on stands.
•Assists Duty Engineer in positioning of maintenance steps, tools and equipment and any requested task such as replenishing aircraft engine oil, oleo charging and assisting on technical rectification.
•Possesses knowledge of all operator's procedures, safety requirements and related amendments.
•Liaises with the re-fuelling company and performs fuelling as per laid down procedures and safety requirements of the operator.
•Ensures that personal tools are readily available and in serviceable condition while being assigned to the aircraft.
•Maintains safe and clean environment while working on the aircraft.
•Mobilizes ground equipment whenever required
•Carries out other similar and related duties.
•Responsible to comply with the applicable laws, regulations and procedures of NAS and customers
•Responsible for exercising due diligence towards Health & Safety of self & others in the organization and also environmental protection.
•Responsible for Safety & Quality of the function/ Task performed.
•Responsible for reporting to his superiors' occurrences, events, violations and acts that may affect safety, security and company reputation.
