IT Coordinator

Job Purpose:
The fundamental tasks of the IT Coordinator is to ensure that the networks, computer equipment, computer labs technology equipment, Telecom and IT systems works reliably and smoothly, facilitating the work of personnel and causing the least disruption possible to staff and clients. The IT Assistant also maintains all equipment and infrastructure devices, are working reliably and providing on-site support for staff and customers.

Major Duties & Responsibilities:
• Administering and maintaining Email, File, Internet servers and responsible for the data backup.
• Liaising with local Internet and Telephone service providers.
• Solve user problems such as computer and printer difficulties, software problems, email etc;
• Maintain hardware, software for employees, resource centers and training rooms;
• Ensure that organization computers, IT equipment and software are operational and staff is able to utilize them properly.
• Assist in ensuring software is updated and appropriate for the organization needs;
• Provide support to the organization courses delivered to clients on-site.
• Handle IT Procurements under management supervision, receive computer-related supplies ordered, verifying quantity and brand and storing it in the IT Room, including diskettes, cables, toners etc.
• Assist in upgrading of older computers, hardware repairs etc.
• Installing New equipment/devices and racking them in the Computer Room;
• Assist in local LAN, WAN, Wireless and telephone infrastructure;
• Assist in network environment including devices, maintenance, support, replacing etc.
• Responsible of the Security System in the premises (Surveillance, Alarm, Fire, etc..)
• Perform daily support for desktop, software and hardware for all users.
