Egis - a 75%/25% owned subsidiary of the French “Caisse des Dépôts” and “Iosis Partenaires” (“partner” executive and employee shareholding) - is a consulting and engineering group working in the fields of transport, urban development, building, industry, water, environment and energy. Egis Ports’ activity covers all stages of ports, inland waterways and coastal development, from feasibility studies to works supervision, including the preliminary and detailed designs.
Egis aims at supervising trading ports and specialized terminals (bulk, mining, liquefied natural gas (LNG), etc.), marinas, extensions at Sea (artificial islands, etc.) and issues related to the struggle against erosion and coastal flooding. Egis assembles its particular expertise and creates a dedicated branch that will perform on 3 trades:
- Port development consultancy (economic and institutional features of operating ports and waterways),
- Harbor structures design (dams, wharves, piers, etc.) and the overall design of ports and terminals,
- Maritime hydraulics and coastal engineering
Project: The project involves the construction of a seaport as part of the Boubyan Island development.
Long Term Positions:
Project Manager
The Project Manager shall have a suitable university degree with a minimum experience of 20 years in the management of Ports and Marine Engineering. Experience should caver projects of a scale equivalent or larger than the project detailed herein. The Project Manager must have a solid engineering and management background.
Senior Planning Engineer
Senior Planning Engineer shall be professional qualified in marine port architecture, experience in performing, monitoring, and reviewing planning and scheduling functions, which include schedule development. He shall have a minimum of 20 years' experience working in same field for port works.
Port Design Specialist
The Port Design Specialist shall be responsible for evaluating, monitoring and auditing all matters related to the design management of the Port works .The engineer will be act as the team leader for the design management staff and shall liaise and establish contacts with other relevant ministries in relation to traffic control systems, communication systems, and ali electro-mechanical matters associated with Port and other work.
He shall have a reasonable university degree with a minimum of 25 years of experience in the design management port projects.
Port Operator Executive Manager
Port Operator Executive Manager shall have a minimum 20 years' experience in the operation consultant for major port and terminal operator. He shall be responsible to act as the operations consultant reporting directly to the government and alongside the programme managers and engineering consultants.
