Social Media Expert & SEO Specialist - WebTech Co

We are seeking a full time versatile and experienced SEO and Social Media Specialist with the ability to optimize websites for search engines and develop and implement social strategies across multiple platforms while growing qualified traffic to increase client KPIs.

Candidate must have a well-rounded knowledge of website, local and mobile SEO best practices, proven optimization strategies and tactics including keyword research, content development, site architecture, usability, technical obstacles, linking strategies, social channels and competitive analysis skills. It is critical to note that only white-hat strategies are accepted.

This individual must also have extensive knowledge and understanding of social media platforms and would be able to build and execute a social media strategy and implement that strategy using Facebook, Pinterest, Twitter, Instagram, blogging, and other social media platforms.


SEO Responsibilities:

• Create and execute on- and off-site SEO strategies and tactics; continuously measure, evaluate and fine-tune SEO program for prominent placement in search engines to increase client KPIs.

• Must know how to conduct keyword research to define target keywords, using best-practice methodology and tools.

• Optimize copy and landing pages for search engine marketing.

• Create new content to fill in website gaps based on consumer needs and client KPIs.

• Assess and make recommendations to improve performance on a web site’s link architecture, HTML code, content and navigation

• Participate in weekly/biweekly client meetings to advise of progress and discuss opportunities to increase marketing performance that will help increase the client’s long-term goals.

• Identify and implement opportunities for video, mobile, and social optimization for SEO

• Work with the development team to ensure SEO best practices are properly implemented on newly developed code

• Research, measure and analyze the effectiveness of SEO activities through reporting programs such as Google Analytics and Omniture

• Knowledge of Google Webmaster Tools, Bing Webmaster Tools, Wordtracker and other web-based tools for site management and SEO

• Build on understanding of industry through continuous research on trends and search engine marketing optimization techniques

• Other related activities as needed


• Oversee Social Marketing efforts including strategy development, platform management and deliver insightful recommendations for a set of clients.

• Oversee social media engagements including monitoring/reporting, content creation/scheduling, writing all status updates and posting content to deliver consistent brand and engagement impact through social media channels, while managing reputational risk by ensuring proper messaging is being executed online.

• Must deliver consistent and relevant brand messaging via posts, sharing videos, photos, events, etc.

• Create content to gain interactions while fans are most engaged, and determining which social media platform(s) will be the most effective in sharing each particular piece of content

• Monitor audience response to all posts and respond as needed to increase engagement

• Engage with clients and effectively communicate social media ideas, strategies and report on effectiveness of social media presence

• Write client blogs while maintaining a consistent brand voice

• Increase online presence across social bookmarking sites like Digg, StumbleUpon, and Reddit as necessary

• Monitor the impact of social media programs, and analyze, review and report on effectiveness

• Effectively communicate how social media marketing techniques will be applied to increase visibility and traffic for the brand and the value it places in the customer experience

• Stay up to date on social media trends and opportunities
