Job Purpose:
The storekeeper is part of Procurement Team and custodian of the materials (Spare Parts) and equipment kept in the Store. He is responsible for all store activities including ordering of items, receiving, issuing, storage, deliveries, maintaining stocks, documenting store transactions, maintaining perpetual inventory and records.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
• Receive all goods/tools into the Storeroom ensuring that they are as detailed on supporting documentation (delivery notes, purchasing orders, and invoices) and update the system/record as well.
• Properly store spare parts and tools in an orderly manner.
• Issue spare parts and tools only against a properly authorized requisition and update the system/record as well.
• Make self‐imposed checks between perpetual records and actual stock and investigate any discrepancies where necessary with report to Store In-charge.
• Keep all storeroom area under his control in a clean and orderly condition at all times.
• Perform all duties assigned efficiently, technically correct, follow the company policies, requests of Superiors and adhere to procedures.
• Perform any other duties set by company policies, Management or his/her direct superior and not included in the above job description.
