This position teaches in the Computer Engineering, Computer Science and Electronics and Communication Engineering programs. Duties include teaching computing and engineering courses at undergraduate levels. These courses provide a wide range of Computer science and Engineering, Electronics and Communication engineering topics including (but not limited to):
• Introductory survey of computer science or engineering,
• Studies in information security,
• Principles of database management,
• Principles of software engineering,
• Programming languages (C, C++, and other languages to include web programming)
• Variety of CASE technologies,
• Studies of the basic science and mathematics that underpin computer science and engineering,
• Principles of computer architecture, engineering design electronics, and microprocessor theory and design.
• Satellite communication and communication systems & theory
• Digital and Computer Engineering and Power Systems
• Robotics, mechatronics, bio-medical devices, power electronics, instrumentation and sensor systems
Other Duties
Duties also include maintaining curriculum, courses of study, and assessment work. Faculty will participate in the process of defining undergraduate computer science and engineering / Electronics and Communication Engineering curriculum. In this capacity, faculties are expected to:
• Assist in curriculum review and development,
• Develop laboratories to support computer science and engineering curriculum,
• Create projects designed to enhance lectures,
• Read and stay abreast of current topics in computer science and engineering,
• Develop syllabus and review textbooks for adoption,
• Propose and develop new courses as determined appropriate by the faculty,
• Actively participating and support SACS and ABET accreditation preparation.
• Providing students with an engaging and challenging environment to learn and develop technology skills
Faculties are required by the College to:
• Teach contracted load,
• Maintain office hours,
• Mentor and advise students,
• Keep timely records of grades, grade papers, and perform other administrative duties as needed.
• Faculty will perform other duties as assigned and actively participate in College assemblies and activities.
