-Manage Business planning & ongoing planning of merchandise & forecasting of sales, subsequently responsible for sales / margin measurement.
-Decide product procurement through host brand range reviews or direct negotiation, including in season buys.
-Calculates option and unit requirements from intake plans by department, produces space and layout plans by department.
-Attends host brand presentations and makes range selection to match the option and intake plans (Where Applicable)
-Assess store execution of merchandising plans, recommend optimum space management options (where applicable) based on store trends / category sales performance.
-Recommend retail pricing levels, decide sale lines & mark down percentage strategy.
-Manage data integrity and future brand needs.
-Supply data for Brand Manager to recommend selection / de-selection of product, with limited host brand communication.
-Recommends stock builds, initial allocations, re-forecasting, in-season buys; assesses store execution of merchandising plans.
-Identify /plan promotional events, & deliver in consultation with Operations & VM`s.
-Reports on competitor activity and recommends tactics/strategies to exploit gaps in market, and identifies other opportunities to maximize profitability.
-Coach & monitor performance of merchandise team within brand. Supervise their activities, maintaining brand & latest fashion trend awareness.
