• Administer and control the local purchases and company’s buyers daily activities.
• Maintain material requisitions records, and assure they are duly authorized before materials release.
• Build a local vendor prequalification policy and assure enough number of local vendors is available.
• Audit the local purchases and assure the best prices are obtained by procurement personnel.
• Administer and control the material receipt/ release from/to the stores.
• Administer and implement inventory control system, inclusive of database and records update and maintenance.
• Manage the store keepers and the materials handling crew in terms of their hiring, firing, salary review, vacation plans …etc
• Maintain updated records (material cards) to monitor the minimum order quantity.
• Provide timely effective reports concerning the stock movement and shelf period.
• Maintain suitable storage conditions for different materials taking into considerations the nature of the materials and suppliers’ recommendations.
• Administer and assure all safety and security precautions are taken to the warehouse facility, materials and concerned personnel; for example but not limited to: fire protection/ alarm system, access control, visitors log, internal audit, insurance policies…etc.
