- Understands and clarifies design requirements. Knowledge of applicable building codes.
- Determines, obtains, collates, and analyses all necessary design input data.
- Develops an exceptional concept design which reflects innovative, creative thinking while at the same time, meeting the brief and agreed landscape building budget, and are compliant with the relevant statutory regulations.
- Describes and defends conceptual thinking to peers and superiors.
- Develops concept(s) to integrate requirements of all disciplines to ensure delivery of a practical, working design(s), that are compliant with all relevant regulations and do not exceed the agreed landscape building budget.
- Effectively analyses the technical aspects of the design to ascertain the implications of design decisions relatives to the use of modern technologies.
- Develops detailed designs from agreed concepts, while applying practical design / engineering principles and the latest technological philosophies.
- Accommodates the functional aspects of other disciplines.
