The Manager, Internal Audit is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on operational, financial, regulatory information security and compliance related audits/reviews of the group. The role evaluates and provides reasonable assurance that risk management, control, and governance systems are functioning as intended.
• Builds and establishes the Internal Audit function in the group. Develop necessary process, procedures and builds the team. Recruits, trains, evaluate the team to ensure team objectives are accomplished.
• Evaluates and provides reasonable assurance that risk management, control, and governance systems are functioning as per goals/objectives set.
• Plans financial, regulatory, compliance, information security and operational audits. Develop audit programs that are tightly integrated with existing business objectives and the inherent risks of the area under review.
• Coordinates work with Risk, Legal and other control-related activities. Conducts risk assessments and identifies controls in place to mitigate identified risks.
• Performs audit to verify that controls are effective. Analyses and concludes on effectiveness and efficiency of control environment. Identifies control gaps and opportunities for improvement. Documents the results of audit work in accordance with audit standards.
• Prepares timely audit reports for executive management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors. Advises senior management on control and risk issues and recommends actions to ensure deficiencies are properly addressed.
• Reports risk management issues and internal controls deficiencies identified and provides recommendations for improving the organization’s operations, in terms of both efficient and effective performance.
• Assess, evaluate and promote compliance to Group policies. Contributes, as appropriate, in the year-end financial audit with the external auditor. Evaluates the organization’s readiness in case of business interruption.
• Appraise the effectiveness and application of operational, financial and information technology controls. Evaluate the sufficiency of and adherence to the Company's plans, policies and procedures and ensure compliance with governmental laws and regulations.
• Provides advice on internal control and participates in enhancing internal audit standards and practices within the group. Researches new or technical subjects when required to support audits.
• Perform special projects as required.
