JOB SUMMARY
Handles the receipt of 1office facilities for storage(from the main office); 2returned goods (from customers); 3inbound shipments (from factories, manufacturers, suppliers); and manages their inventories - inclusive of the Current Stocks, and with respect to in-lined purchased items. Coordinates the transportation of products and the control of associated costs.

Provides directions to assigned employees such as corporate drivers, checkers/controllers. The job covers the receipt and storage (shipping bay) of out bound materials.

PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Work Directions
Provides work directions to corporate drivers, checkers/controllers, allocating work and ensuring the highest levels of performance and quality.

Shipment Receipt
Receives finished products and shipments from factories, manufacturers, suppliers, checks batch report in the system including the physical location. Handles enquiries related to deliveries.

Shipment Dispatch
Receives Purchase Orders from Global Customers who tend to place the orders of the items from the local stocks, prepare-seal-label the shipment and arrange for its dispatch either from the warehouse itself, or forward it to the main office.

Orders Dispatch
Receives Daily-base (bi-shift) Purchase Orders from the local customers, via Main Office, prepare them for delivery and appoint controllers to check the orders prior to dispatch from the store for accurate and timely delivery outcome.

Inventory Management
Ensures that effective inventory management takes place for all items in the store. Generates bi-weekly reports for 1non-moving; 2slow-moving items; 3their monthly Sales Report; and 4their Sales Assessment in terms of Growth comparison over the years. Submits completed reports, identifies discrepancies and follows up to rectify. Carries out the Monthly and End of Year inventories, and enters completed and accurate details in to the system.

Transportation Cost Management
Verifies all payments to be made to the transportation company should extra transportation means be required.

House Keeping
Ensures that the warehouse is kept in a clean, safe and tidy condition at all times. Carries out physical inspections in the warehouse to verify.


Delivery Note Submission
Follows up on the receipt of delivery notes and installation reports, which follow product delivery and rendering of technical services should the Sales Invoice be temporarily not applicable. Receives back the DN or IR and forward them to the main office for constant reference and Customer File reports.


MENTAL DEMANDS
The most important parts of the job are inventory management and customer care.

The most difficult/complex parts of job are accuracy of deliveries and inventory management, particularly the monthly and End-of-Year inventory
