Treasury Settlement – Officer - Career Hunters

Purpose and Scope:

Performs real time activities in the Treasury Middle Office to ensure that dealing room activities are conducted in line with the approved treasury policy & procedures. Responsible for reporting the Bank’s daily financial position.



Key Responsibilities

1. Verifies dealing tickets and ensures accuracy, and that they contain all the necessary details and documentation in compliance with the relevant procedures and ensures the lack of variances in balances/transactions.

2. Reports total sales and purchases of the Bank on hourly and daily basis for the Bank dealer limit, 3rd party limits, risk limits, and transaction limits sets by the Bank.

3. Prepares and validates the following against treasury, Bank, and trading procedures and policies:

- Cash flow forecasts in KWD and Foreign Currency.

- The Bank’s nostro account balances.

- The funding of nostro accounts.

- Surveillance of vostro account balances and of hot money.

- Control breakages of counterparty limits by foreign exchange, money market dealers, & report these to the Treasurer.

- Intraday/overnight stop losses on FX positions

- Daily Treasury Bills/Bonds positions & daily other Treasury accounts overnight positions.

4.Computes and reports on all required dealing statistics that apply to treasury products including volume, P&L, business turnover, and exchange rates.

5. Maintains updated knowledge of rules, regulations and standards in the field and related matters of interest to the department

6. Participates in the various cross-functional committees/teams for multiple purposes to achieve optimal cooperation and to assume seamless quality service

7. Performs other duties in line with scope of work and as instructed by the direct manager
