Purpose of Job:
The position serves as a frontliner of the business. It is responsible to settle all sales transactions in all accepted modes of payment and comply in the required Customer Service Standards.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Greets customers entering the establishment following the Store Customer Service Policy
- Receives and settles customer sales transactions using all accepted modes of payment by AAW
- Computes, records total of transactions for the Daily Sales Report preparation
- Checks and stays vigilant in receiving genuine bills, valid credit cards and other payment modes
- Counts change fund in till drawers at the beginning of the shift to ensure correctness and adequate change denomination
- Answer customer queries and resolves customer complaints when necessary
- Processes item return and exchange and provides information on policies and procedures
- Bags, wraps, box or packs merchandise paid by the customer and offers carry-out service provided by the store staff when necessesary
- Adheres to Policies and Procedures and acts as a role-model to all employees
- Maintains confidentiality and sensitivity of information in accordance with the Policies and Procedures
- Ensures cleanliness and orderliness in the counter area
- Performs other related duties and responsibilities as directed by his/her Line Manager/s
