To assist the executive chef/exec.Sous chef and be a team leader in general in providing an effective service for all the functions and in all food outlets for external and internal customers.
Responsibilities
* Conduct on job training for 1, 2 & demi Chefs
* Attend department meetings and the trainings.
* Make sure food items are sent tot he correct area on time.
* Fill out the appropriate cleaning charts, temperature charts etc.. on daily basis.
* Follow all kitchen regulations as outlined and directed.
* Over see food production by junior staff in the pastry sections.
* Assist pastry chef with taste panels and menu classes.
* Check quality of maize en place and report any issues to the Executive Chef
