Manager - Internal Audit

The Manager, Internal Audit is responsible for planning, executing and reporting on operational, financial, and regulatory and compliance related audits/reviews of the group. The role monitors and ensures adequate and effective internal control and risk management system.

• Build and establish the compliance function in the group. Develop necessary process, procedures and build the team. Recruit, train, evaluate the team to ensure team objectives are accomplished.

• Plan financial, regulatory, compliance or operational reviews/audits. Develop audit programs that are tightly integrated with existing business objectives and the inherent risks of the area under review.

• Coordinate work with Risk, Legal and other control-related activities. Conduct risk assessments and identify controls in place to mitigate identified risks.

• Perform audit to verify that controls are effective. Analyse and improve effectiveness and efficiency of control environment. Identify control gaps and opportunities for improvement. Document the results of audit work in accordance with audit standards.

• Prepare timely audit reports for executive management, the Audit Committee and the Board of Directors. Advise senior management on control and risk issues and recommend actions to ensure deficiencies are properly addressed.

• Assess, evaluate and promote compliance to Group policies. Contributes, as appropriate, in the financial audit with the external auditor.

• Appraise the effectiveness and application of operational, financial and information technology controls. Evaluate the sufficiency of and adherence to the Company's plans, policies and procedures and ensure compliance with governmental laws and regulations.

• Provide advice on internal control and participates in enhancing internal audit standards and practices within the group. Research new or technical subjects when required to support audits

• Perform special projects as required.
