Corporate Strategy and Business Development Manager

Duties & Responsibilities include but not limited to:
 Development and formulation of growth strategies in view of organizational requirement
 Conducting preliminary viability and risk analysis of such strategies and then, leading the execution of the same after due approvals.
 Direct and Coordinate business development related activities for Ports, Contract Logistics and Equipment Leasing & Power Rental individually and cross-divisional (Sales is done by Division).
 Establish strategic relationships and partnerships with clients to develop solutions that meet the needs of customer.
 Analyze, summarize RFQ’s, and provide a synopsis as and when requested; Prepare pricing in co-ordination with the Finance and Senior Management from Business Divisions.
 Leads and responds to customer queries in a timely and professional manner and is accountable for the development and implementation of bids, proposals, negotiations, contracting, etc. towards the closure of business deals.
 Identify, target and develop new key accounts and new business opportunities in the existing and new markets.
 Carry out the feasibility of new business opportunities with finance, divisional heads and senior management.
 Initiate and monitor the compilation, preparation and distribution of relevant information and data that will be used to create awareness and understanding of the organization’s operations and interests amongst the customers.
 Attend relevant conferences and meetings and also give presentations on CO. capabilities when required.
 Monitor competition, consumer behavior and market trends through market research activities and recommend actions based on feedback such as bidding eventualities.
 Prepare and circulate monthly situation reports, meeting reports and prospective business opportunity status.
 Develop and co-ordinate-marketing strategies on advertising, market research, communications, product publicity etc. and thus create strong brand equity through appropriate product positioning and promotions.
 Analyze performance on an-ongoing basis to ascertain product lines, customers, markets that are large contributors to profitability.
 Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect, and constituent databases.
 Ensure that synergies across the divisions of CO. are leveraged and knowledge is managed in such a way as to maximize leanings and minimize duplication and the learning curve.
 Prepare, manage and oversee departmental budget, including but not limited to tracking income and expenses associated with events and facilitating comprehensive records, evaluations, and reports for all activities.
 Understand the specific needs of each Division and develop a plan that encompasses the same.
 Responsible for staff development activities comprising of supporting recruitment, team development and complaint resolution, set KPI’s for direct reports and conduct performance appraisal and also drive motivation levels of direct reports
 All other duties as assigned by management
 Create competent and effective team. Assemble and lead a group of people to successfully accomplish a project.
 Assist the management in the fulfillment of its obligations, statutory or otherwise, concerning prevention of personal injuries
