Role Objective:
IT technical support monitor and maintain the computer systems and networks of the company. He/she may install and configure computer systems, diagnose hardware/software faults and solve technical and applications problems, either over the phone or in person. Their Main Task is to help and advice users and to assist in day-to-day administration, maintenance and support of the computer systems.
Key Responsibilities & Accountabilities:
1.Software& hardware technical support are mainly responsible for the smooth running of software and computer systems and ensuring users get maximum benefits from them
2. Ensure system availability 24x7 (Hardware & Software).
3. Responsible for overall support on the Operating system(s) and Application(s) in the area responsible.
4. Select, negotiate and evaluate Suppliers and other procurement activities.
5. Administration for all the following software and hardware.
a. Active Directory.
b. File Serve.
c. Kaspersky Security Center.
6. Give support to all Employees in the Head office and divisions to solve any issues related to the IT system(s) and application(s).
7. Patching, troubleshooting and analysis of OS (Windows XP, 7, 2003, 2008) and hardware platform issue.
8. responding within agreed time limits to call-outs
9. prioritizing and managing many open cases at one time
10. Installing and configuring computer hardware operating systems and applications
11. Monitoring and maintaining computer systems and networks talking staff/clients through a series of actions, either face to face or over the telephone.
12. Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all hardware, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs such as backups.
13. Assisting in Perform regular security monitoring to identify any possible intrusions.
14. Sharing daily backup operations, ensuring all required file systems and system data are successfully backed up to the appropriate media, recovery tapes or disks are created, and media is recycled and sent off site as necessary.
15. Perform regular file archival and purge as necessary.
16. Create, change, and delete user accounts per request.
17. Repair and recover from hardware or software failures. Coordinate and communicate with system administrator.
18. Perform ongoing performance tuning, hardware upgrades, and resource optimization as required.
19. Configure CPU, memory, and disk partitions as required.
