PAD10 Superintendent will represent PAD10 Architects on the job site, providing the architectural knowledge on site with eye to quality. He will track the day-to-day field operations, ensuring compliance with design intent and responding to contractors’ queries with promptness and accuracy. He shall ensure that the site is well managed by the contractor, with compliance to safety, cleanliness, and other contractual considerations. He shall be problem solver, result oriented, with strong and assertive character.
- Run the day-to-day operations on construction sites
- Do walk throughs to inspect progress, compliance, and forward any request beyond his knowledge to the design team
- Control and go over daily schedules of contractors
- Quality Control: Inspect workmanship and progress on site, creating written reports and responding to RIAA’s.
- Check material samples, tag and document as required
- Documents photographically work progress
- Maintain updated filing on site on daily basis, including timecards, field reports, schedule updates and E-mail correspondence
- Review progress payments of contractors
- Cooperate with design team to ensure compliance with design intent
- Coordinate with sub-consultants whenever required
- Attend periodical meetings and create progress reports
- Respond to contractors ‘request for information’
- Inspect materials quantity and quality on site, whenever required
- Ensure all correspondences are written and well documented; verbal communication is non-binding
- Meet with client representatives regularly to communicate project status and proactively point out possible problems ahead and advice of possible resolutions
Qualifications:
- Architecture or civil engineering bachelor degree or a professional degree in construction management
- Minimum 3 years of site construction supervision responsibility
- A demonstrated understanding of construction means and methods
- A working knowledge of civil, architectural, mechanical and electrical work
- The ability to effectively communicate both in the English written and spoken word
- Proficiency with spreadsheets, Email and other software used in the construction industry
- Passionate about details in construction with excellent understanding of reading architectural drawings
- Understanding of project sequencing, scheduling, and management
- Punctual with respect to deadlines and other people’s times
- Committed to good quality work within given time and budget
- Aggressive, sharp, fair, reasonable, and clear with all parties, including clients, contractors, and consultants
- Good communicator with ability to absorb different perspectives, and viewpoints, and analytical skills oriented to resolving problems, ensuring the best results towards the project
- Polite, self-confident, and non-assuming
- Highly organized and produces a paper trail that can be easily understood by a third party
- Upon passing of trial period, certification in OSHA and CQC is required, to be provided by PAD10
