OPERATIONS MANAGEMENT :
•The position holder is responsible for managing the operations of the Transport & Equipment Service and Maintenance departments.
•Planning and implementing processes and procedures for optimum utilization of equipments and manpower.
•Ensure all processes and procedures are followed while procuring heavy and other earth moving equipments.
•Appropriate pricing, billing and/or cross charging policy specifically related to own projects and for external companies on rental basis.
•Ensure adequate control over procurement and dispensing of spare parts.
•Ensure operational efficiency at all times through proper maintenance of all equipments.
•Ensure accurate depreciation rates are applied as per norms specified by the Finance department.
•Through proper MIS reports, constantly review and track the efficiency and profitability of the division.
•Ensure department activities are in accordance with the company work procedure and policy.
•Ensure the department maintenance and operation activities are in accordance with the company safety program and policy and conforms to specified Quality, Safety and Environmental laws.
•Conduct regular internal meeting and foster adequate collaboration between and among personnel.
•Ensure laws related to registration of Vehicles and Equipments and driving licence laws are in compliance with local governing authorities.
•Verify monthly rental/cost reports, explain or justify monthly variances and provide accurate information to the project and company general management.
•Resolve work problems and recommend measures to improve productivity.
•Review and approve material purchase requests, purchase orders, service orders.
•Responsible for maintaining department’s cost within budget.
•Authorization of expenditures and invoices of spare parts and sub contractor services.
•Review and approval of external rental quotations.
•Participate in management and project department meetings.
•Ensuring the efficient and effective utilization of available manpower & resources.
•Review and approval of accident & damage estimation cost report.
•Review of monthly financial projections and annual budget.
•Lead and drive the ERP implementation program of the division.
DEPARTMENTAL MANAGEMENT :
•Ensure the organization structure for the departments reporting to the Position Holder are maintained with appropriate staffing levels and the operating systems and processes are aligned to the business objectives.
•Promote inter-departmental and inter-divisional communications & co-ordinations through the various committees set up for the smooth operations of the respective departments and the organization.
PEOPLE MANAGEMENT :
•In liaison with HR, to help drive various employees' satisfaction initiatives to motivate and maintain high performance among the staff.
•Drive the Performance Management process to ensure that every employee is aligned to and contributes effectively to achievement of departmental goals.
