*Keep up with the latest technology trends in the market
*Background in technology and finance (venture oriented is preferred)
*Understand and analyze financial statements
*Knowledge about start-ups and entrepreneurship
*Companies analysis & Financial modeling
Strategic Planning
*Plan the Functional Short Term (Annual) Objectives and cascade them down to subordinates
*Agree on Action Plans to Achieve Short Term (Annual) Objectives
Operational Risk Management
*Identify risks (processes, people and systems)
*Assess & estimate risk and potential impact
*Makes sure that controls are in place to mitigate the risk
*Periodical, evaluates the controls in place and decides on the remedial actions
Change Management
*Plan Change & involve the appropriate personnel
*Build a responsive culture and minimize change barriers
*Communicate Change Requirements
Investment Management
*Analyze the economic position of the technology industry, how it is affected by new products, processes, competition & etc.
*Research the market on the latest trends within the specified technology industry
*Prepare fact sheet, concept paper, investment memorandum and recommend action
*Evaluate the technology/product behind the concept, business model and valuation of the deal
*Proactively explore opportunities for the company’s future and existing investments
*Gather contacts within government entities and regulatory bodies in Kuwait & region necessary to gain approvals on technology projects
*Prepare periodic reports on the performance of the company’s investment division
People Management
*Manage employee relation for better team-working & innovative culture
*Recruit, train, coach and motivate the employees for his area in coordination with HR
*Agree clear performance objectives for the team members
*Agree and implement development and training plans
*Solves issues related to people management
*Communicate job roles & responsibilities to the team members
*Evaluate employees performance and take corrective actions
