PRIMARY FUNCTION
To provide professional leadership and direction in school improvement and the achievement of high standards in all areas of the school’s operations.
SPECIFIC AREAS OF RESPONSIBILITY
Prime responsibility for the development of the school, in all areas, and the day-to-day management of all aspects of the school including the professional and administrative staff and the provision of resources to enable the school to function effectively.
Prime responsibility for curriculum provision and the teaching and learning environment.
Display qualities of leadership which aim to foster cooperation, based on integrity, trust and sensitivity.
The development, implementation and sustaining of whole school policies which support the school’s values, aims and objectives.
The maintenance of the ethos and discipline of the school.
The maintenance of high morale amongst staff and setting personal example of professional standards of performance and behavior.
Maintenance of effective relations with parents, and the educational and wider community of the school
