Drilling superintendent / Drilling Manager

Our client has established itself in the area of well service & well engineering and has aggressive growth plans for all its business units. It is also looking at growth in other business segments of oil field services.

QHSE RESPONIBILITIES:-
- Acts as the man in charge (MIC) for the safety of all personnel on the rig and in the rig camp.
- Manages rig operation in a safe manner according to company policies and procedure.
- Observes proper rig operating procedure, noting unsafe practices.
- Plays an active part in QHSE meetings, tool box meetings, the TQM program and all other company safety management systems.
- Is proficient in STOP for supervisor and uses its techniques. Promotes the use of STOP for employees to the personnel under his supervision.
- Ensures the crews are trained in emergency evacuation procedures.
- Ensures that rig specific QHSE procedures are published and known by all.
- Ensures that exemption forms are completed and approved as required
- Ensure that all rig modifications are formally approved as required.
- Ensures the rig operations are conducted in accordance with company policies and procedure.
- Ensure that ll company’s personnel and subcontracted personnel attend the relevant safety meeting for their position and further more play an active part in these meetings.
- Ensure close out of all HSE action items.
- Ensure that all incidents are reported and fullt investigated.

OPERATIONS:
- Supervises all drilling operations.
- Supervises the application of appropriate well control measure.
- Supervise and plan rig moves and camp moves.
- Responsible for the Management and Performance Monitoring of assigned rigs.
- Responsible for Engineering Projects on assigned Rigs in liaison with Maintenance Manager.
- Responsible for process Equipment and Drilling Inspection schedule and compliance.
- Responsible for subcontractor’s compliance with company’s HSE.
- Responsible for assigned Rig Financial Budgets and monitoring of Rig Costs.
- To liaise with Administration/ Personnel Manager on Crew Movements and all other personnel matters equipment repair.
- To liaise with the warehouse with reference to the control and purchase of material.
- To liaise with HSE Manager with reference to HSE affairs.
- To liaise with Client in all operational matters of dedicated rigs.
- To liaise with suppliers and contractors.
- To make regular visits to assigned Rigs as per QA/ HSE Improvement program and Drilling Calendar.
- To ensure that 24 hour coverage of assigned rigs is maintained by Deputy if required.
- To ensure that the training of personnel is carried out on assigned Rigs.
- To monitor competence and performance Standards of all personnel on assigned rigs, to liaise with HR manager.
