•Devise, recommend and gain approval for an effective retail marketing and sales strategy, ensuring it is consistent with Telecom business requirements.
•Oversee the effective implementation and administration of all Retail Store operating policies and procedures in order to ensure a favorable audit report.
•Monitor the financial performance of the Retail Store network against plans and budgets, identify any variances initiating remedial actions when necessary.
•Review Retail Store processes, systems and operations to ensure their effectiveness.
•Develop ongoing improvement strategies through ongoing review and monitoring of Retail Store performance.
•Input to the development of new products and services anticipating customer needs and preferences to ensure the stores network remains competitive in the market.
•Source new locations and negotiate contractual terms and agreements as per business requirements.
•Accountable for the overall performance of the Retail Stores network to ensure achievement of Retail sales targets.
•Improve customer feedback ratings through the proactive implementation of customer service programs and guidelines.
•Improve employee satisfaction and retention through implementation of plans to encourage teamwork.
•Work in accordance with the guidelines set by the Director, Sales to meet and stretch Retail Store sales targets.
•Proactively manage and motivate Store Managers to be highly professional and results oriented to ensure that the Group delivers the optimum and agreed levels of contribution to Telecom’s revenue.
•Ensure Individual Development Plans (IDP) are completed for all staff in accordance with Telecom policy.
•Improve Retail Store staff performance through personal coaching and identifying training and development needs.
•Conduct annual performance appraisals (Performance Management System) and ensure objectives set are monitored and achieved.
•Contribute to the Sales Division communication plan through attendance of regular team meetings, the preparation of a weekly status report and attendance at team events.
