** Drives the efficient and profitable operation of assigned Costa stores. Ensures the Costa experience is consistently provided to all customers, store staffs are positively led and empowered, quality store operations are maintained, and sales targets are reached or exceeded. Ensures efficient and timely roll out of systems, procedures and programs. Responsible for 6 to 8 stores.
** Works with store management to identify and utilize opportunities to increase sales, control staff costs and manage appropriate inventories. Monitors daily, weekly and monthly/quarterly financial performance, and ensures cash handling and banking is carried out in compliance with company policy and procedure. Assist Operations Manager in review and preparation of budgets.
** Assists in selecting competent Team Members and management. Supports/participates in training, and develops partners to identify potential. Manages operational staff issues and disciplinary matters.
** Ensures all systems, procedures and programs are communicated to team members and store management, and are complied with. Checks quality of service, coffee and other products. Obtains and utilizes customer feedback and leads stores in identifying and executing improvements. Ensures all store appearances and equipment are maintained to Brand standard. Ensures stores comply with local regulations. Reports Area status and ensures all company-required reports and documents are completed accurately and on time.
** The Job contributes to Costa success by leading store operations within an assigned area and maintains the Costa experience for our customers and Team Member. The Area manager is required to regularly and customarily exercise discretion in managing the overall operation of the stores within an assigned area. In particular, a majority of time is spent developing store management talent, overseeing the areas store management workforce, making management staffing decisions, ensuring area wide customer satisfaction and product quality, managing the areas financial performance and managing safety and security within the area.
