MECHANICAL TECHNICIAN - New Mowasat Hospital

JOB SUMMARY
The Mechanical Technician- P&F performs a variety of general, mechanical and preventive maintenance as well as inspections, servicing and overhaul of equipment and facilities of the Hospital.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Maintains established Department policies, procedures, objectives, quality assurance and safety
2. Uses hand tools, power tools and testing instruments to repair and maintain machinery equipment.
3. Repairs and maintains machinery and mechanical equipment’s such as engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, pumps, gearboxes and various types of rotating equipment.
4. Examines mechanical equipment to diagnose problems.
5. Performs maintenance, repair or replacement of broken parts.
6. Observes mechanical devices in operation and listens to its sound to locate the cause of trouble.
7. Lubricates and cleans equipment.
8. Starts devices to test their performance.
9. Monitors Medical gas network system and manifolds; reports to Manger- P&Fin case of any alarms or system malfunction.
10. Adjusts functional parts of mechanical devices as necessary.
11. Keeps work areas orderly, clean and safe.
12. Assists with care and maintenance of department equipment and supplies.
13. Maintains Department records, reports and files as required.
14. Participates in educational programs and in-service meetings.
15. Attends meetings as required.
16. Performs other related duties as assigned or requested.
