Anesthesia Consultant - New Mowasat Hospital

Job Description
o Review the Pre-anesthetic assessment and preparation of the patients done by juniors
o Provision of clinical anesthesia services in operation theatre both routine and emergency
o Supervision of management of post-anesthetic care, including surgical ICU care delivered by juniors such as monitoring including clinical observations, pain relief, fluid therapy, respiratory therapy, adverse effects with may be related to anesthesia, preoperative medical problems
o Supervision of paramedical staffs in OT and ICU
o Supervision and auditing of Acute resuscitation services for the hospital run by resuscitations team CODE BLUE team
o Consultative services for pre-anesthetic assessment and management.
o To ensure, when relevant, the patient and/or relatives are aware of the outcome and consequences of anesthesia.
o Such other clinical services as necessary and appropriate to the specialty

To provide advisory services in relation to the quality required for the safe practice of anesthesia (including staffing considerations and staff training) to:
o Hospital Authority
o Hospital Departments
o Hospital Clinical management groups
o Individual hospital staff groups or individuals
o Other organizations are required

Administrative and managerial duties:
o Provision of a departmental staff roster.
o Management of leave arrangements within the department
o Staff development review processes.
o Provision of regular departmental meetings for news dissemination.
o Participation in hospital meetings, Hospital Authority meetings, intra-departmental meeting
