Food Engineer - Alyasra Food Co.

1. Working closely with marketing team to understand the consumer trends and develop products accordingly.
2. Working with suppliers on developing new product recipes for Al Yasra.
3. Modifying existing products and processes.
4. Checking and improving quality control procedures in his own and suppliers factories, from the raw material stage through to the finished product.
5. Researching current consumer markets and latest technologies to develop new product concepts.
6. Selecting raw materials and other ingredients from suppliers;
7. Preparing product costing based on raw materials and manufacturing costs to ensure profitable products.
8. Auditing suppliers or managing internal audits.
9. Coordinating launches of new products or running trials alongside / together with product development.
10. Dealing with any customer complaint investigations or product issues.
11. Reviewing end-to-end supply chains for quality management.
12.Compiling /checking/ approving product specifications and labelling.
13. Undertaking long-term projects with other departments, e.g. reducing waste by improving efficiency.
14. Working on packaging innovation and technology.
15. Reviewing food supply, safety, security and sustainability.
16. Developing the ability to repeat processes to ensure consistency and safety.
17. Liaising and cooperating with technical and commercial teams at the supplier end and, sales and marketing and quality team at Al Yasra, and also with official food inspection and hygiene agencies.
18. Working with engineering / production at the supplier to develop solutions to production issues whilst maintaining food safety.
19. Managing the safety, legality and quality of food produced.
20. Create new techniques for processing, packaging and preserving food
21. Test the process and the utilization of food equipment
22. Develop and design new food equipment
