The Applications Support specialist will be primarily responsible for analyzing, designing & supporting solutions to varying business requirements across the enterprise & guiding the implementation teams to success. The Application Specialist shall support in house development, implementation & maintenance of all business software mainly ERP (Academic Software, FA Software, Admin Software & HR Software, etc.) and Web Solutions (Website, Portal & Online Applications).
Roles & Responsibilities
• Support the core business applications : SIS/SMS or Academic ERP, Web & SMS Solutions
• Develop written specifications & documentation related to requirement gathering, GAP Analysis & BPR.
• Develop & implement a process to test all functional modules of the system - Application Testing
• Collect user requirements and prepare specification document with process flow, ER diagrams
• Conduct periodic orientation & training on major system changes to end users.
• Support in house custom application development requirements, develop API for external applications.
• Support the data migration & periodic data cleansing activities.
• Develop a plan & perform regular Applications & Data backup along with periodic testing & recovery.
• Perform regular monitoring to prevent & protect application from scripting threats (SQL Injection).
• Comply with the set IT Standard operating procedures & provide periodic Activity / Performance report.
