• The Systems Administrator is responsible for effective provisioning, installation/configuration, operation and maintenance of Systems Hardware/Software and related infrastructure. The Infrastructure Administrator is completely responsible for ensuring smooth functioning of the main data center pertaining to Network & Infrastructure Administration, along with Microsoft Servers Administration.
• The Systems Administrator is also responsible for managing the Virtualized Servers and administration of related infrastructure along with selected roles on Chasis, SAN Storage & external NAS Storage including: installation, support, troubleshooting and administration of Windows 2012 systems. • The SA shall additionally manage the Backup & Restore Utility ensuring complete Systems & Data Backup for high availability.
Roles & Responsibilities
• Manage all systems on Microsoft Platform mainly : 2012 OS, Exchange Server, DC's, AD, SQL & Web Server.
• Manage the Network (LAN & WAN) and communication equipment, mainly : CORE, edge, SF switches, Firewall, LB.
• Manage the Chasis & Blade Servers for optimal performance, manage CMM & configure Services.
• Manage the IP Telephony Services & communication manager.
• Perform regular security monitoring to identify, protect & eradicate threats, supporting Intrusion Prevention.
• Monitor systems daily, verifying the availability & integrity of all Servers, Storage, Network & related Systems
• Perform regular Systems Backup & practice periodic Systems Failover test & Data Recovery test.
• Develop & Maintain - Installation & Configuration Procedures along with thorough maintenance record
• Perform ongoing Performance tuning, Periodic hardware upgrade, OS upgrade & Patch management.
• Maintain incident logs, inventory, activities report & related documentation on Primary Data Center.
• Install, Configure & Manage Vmware ESXi hosts & guests (VM's for servers).
• Install & Configure Windows OS ( WS 2012 or WS 2008 R2) & Prepare servers for Systems/Applications.
• Install, Configure & Manage the SAN Storage, manage Space to allocate resource to VM's.
• Install & Configure D2D backup of all Systems/Applications/Data on external NAS Appliance/storage
• Install, Configure & Manage Veeam/symantee Backup & Replication utility for Data/Systems Backup.
• Monitor VM's periodically, verifying the availability & integrity of all Virtual Servers & Storage Systems
• Perform regular Virtual Servers Backup & practice periodic Systems Failover test & Data Recovery test.
• Perform ongoing ESXi Servers & VM's Performance tuning, Periodic OS upgrade & Patch management.
• Maintain incident logs, inventory, activities report & related documentation on Virtualized Servers.
• Perform regular monitoring to prevent & protect VM's from Malware/Virus threats.
• Comply with the set IT Standard operating procedures & provide periodic Activity/Performance report.
• Develop & Maintain - Installation & Configuration Procedures along with thorough maintenance record
