As the Unit Head - Strategic PMO and Performance Monitoring, you will be coordinating, evaluating and monitoring development of clear and comprehensive strategic initiatives implementation plan by BUs, monitoring performance of initiatives by deliverables, milestones and ensure performance management actions are executed on time and target, managing transformation and strategic cross functional programmes and management of cross functional reporting including co-ordination with the Company Group PMO.
Key Responsibilties:
• Lead and executing on cross-functional strategic and transformation initiatives
• Ensuring that strategic initiative governance is defined, initiative team and sponsors are allocated
• Meet quality and performance KPI with supporting documents
• Ensure tracking and reporting on the strategic initiatives implementation progress (Strategic KPIs, financial impact, milestones)
• Supporting the Programme and Project Management Community.
• Ensure that the portfolio remains aligned to strategy and contribute to strategic planning - working to shape a balanced, sustainable and doable portfolio
• Provide support to the executive management in the strategic planning process, ensuring that short-run and long run plans are written, communicated, reviewed and evaluated on a quarterly basis.
• Set-up a prioritisation framework to align portfolio to strategic iniatives and objectives, optimise the allocation of resources and balance the risk associated with the portfolio mix
• Support Strategic Initiatives Definition and Scoping and set-up the right foundations to enable the company and the Strategic PMO & Transformation office
• Liaise with the strategic initiative's sponsor on a regular basis
• Prioritize, evaluate and balance strategic initiatives into programs and projects by means of project charters
• Translate strategic initiatives into programs and projects
• Facilitate regular reporting and reviews
• Maximizing the value of the portfolio in terms of business objectives
• Ensure proper closure and archiving of strategic initiatives
• Maintain the integrity of the portfolio to ensure that strategic initiatives and supported projects are initiated, prioritised, funded and resourced for success
• Providing clear advice to the Executive Committee regarding implications of specific re-prioritisations on the delivery profile and do-ability of the portfolio
• Participating in risk assessment and provide feedback and advice in terms of risk balancing - Ensure to feed ERM and adjust risk profile and action plan accordingly
• Assess interdependencies across and within projects.
• Ensure Investment controls across the lifecycle.
• Facilitate Strategy Implementation Follow-up and Strategy review exercise with Business Units to derive corrective actions and reflect impacts on portfolio
• Provide regular visibility to Exco and Top management including benefits realisation follow-up
• Strategy communication: supporting strategy & business development team in preparing Quarterly review meetings to ensure Strategy Cascading and understanding.
• Proactively manage and motivate the team to be highly professional and results oriented.
• Work to improve employee performance through personal coaching and identifying training and development needs.
• Ensure Individual Development Plans (IDP) are completed for all staff in accordance with the Company policy
• Preparation of various weekly/ monthly reports relating to staff and achievement in the department.
• Conduct annual performance appraisals (Performance Management System) and ensure objectives set are monitored and achieved.
